A few of our favorite places around Austin if you have time to explore…
Terry Black’s
Usually one of our first stops every time we get to ATX. You probably won’t need to eat til dinner tomorrow after this.
Loro
Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar brought to you by Tyson Cole and Aaron Franklin with a menu featuring grilled and smoked meats, sides, craft beer and batch cocktails. You can order food at the bar and sit in the warm and expansive indoor space or outside on the porch shaded by a canopy of hundred-year-old oak trees.
Coffee & Cocktails & Beer
Here Nor There.
A speakeasy craft cocktail lounge. Each drink reflects a place and its flavors. Every detail, from the glassware to the ingredients have been carefully selected, and non-traditional methods are used to extract the best flavors possible.
Better Half
More than coffee & cocktails. Awesome breakfast sandwiches and cauliflower tater tots too.

Things to Do.
Lady Bird Lake
A river-shaped reservoir in the heart of Austin.
Suggestions & Tips
You can definitely just walk the paths and take in the sights, but since you’ll be in Austin in October, you’ll probably be able to see the bats at Congress Avenue Bridge. Consider a sunset kayak tour to see the bats from a unique vantage point in the middle of the water!
South Congress
Boutiques, cafes, galleries & more in this walkable neighborhood.
Suggestions & Tips
Head over to South Congress for some wandering. Some of our favorite shops include By George (women & men), Stag Provisions (men’s clothing), Feathers (vintage) & Allen’s Boots (yeehaw).
Zilker Park
Beautiful gardens spot to find some zen in the middle of Austin.
Suggestions & Tips
Our previous Lady Bird rec was focused on getting you guys on the water - this time we encourage you to walk around Zilker Park, the botanical gardens and Barton Springs. You need to buy a ticket for the Botanical Gardens in advance here.
